“Often those that criticize others reveal what he himself lacks.” — Shannon L. Alder
Actions may speak louder than words, but how we speak to other people projects how well we treat them. Why is our tongue boneless? Because the bone itself is placed in the truest soul of ours. Our love for Martin Luther King and Mother Teresa is not solely placed in their actions, but also in their warm words that calmed the storm. Then we doubt the government, simply because their words are untrustworthy. Their tongue is the source of all this untrustworthiness.
I love how journalists ask deep questions to leaders or other important people, because their words show us how to face the government and reality. They are brave in tackling every doubt about the news.
I love how poets wrap their words in softness, but also boldness at the same time. They show us how to face this chaotic world—like approaching art.
I love how every actor and actress plays their dialogue, wraps it in their emotion and facial expressions. They deliver every line, making us cry, laugh, get angry—we experience those emotions within our soul.
But I hate people who try to belittle another human, in whatever way.
It won’t give you any credit in life, in whatever shape. I don’t believe that saying something bad about others will make us earn more in life, or worse, put another life in danger. Leaving someone feeling humiliated, terrorised, and alone—I don’t think that’s a better way to get credit in life. Shame on you.
Our reputation is built by how we make people feel, not only by our skills.
In a world of rapid transformation, each of us is easily replaced by technology, and even our relationship standards are becoming more fragile because of social media’s expectations. So basically, everything can be easily destroyed or replaced if we keep this immaturity, especially belittling others. I know there are other complex things about technology, but the level of maturity truly speaks to this issue.
So, my dear dear fellas, say something better today.
If your words can’t give hope to others, then at least, don’t let them feel intimidated by our presence. How cruel are our souls if they make other people feel intimidated?
Thank you for reading.
